Turns out NASA used a radiation-hardened, chopped-down IBM Corp RS/6000 Unix computer for the flight computer on board Pathfinder, the RAD 6000 probe which is currently on Mars studying its composition and atmosphere. NASA developed the Pathfinder in under than three years at a cost of approximately $170 million; or less than the price of some major movies.
