San Francisco, California-based RPI Advanced Technology Group announced a pair of new computer graphics boards, the VGA2Xplus and VGA3X, for iAPX-86 personal computers that enables users to view stereoscopic images taking only a single slot in the computer. The VGA2Xplus is a Local Bus graphics board that takes advantage of the speed enhancements of local bus computer architecture. The VGA3X is an accelerated graphics card with polygon fill and Windows support for higher graphics performance. The boards produce two separate simultaneous video images and run all existing VGA software as well as the new virtual reality games, applications and telecommunications products. They are shipping now at around $1,000.
