The Raleigh, North Carolina-based company already offers its rBuilder software that automatically integrates applications with the rPath Linux operating system to create software appliances that can be installed on a server or PC.
The new functionality allows users to use rBuilder to create appliances specifically for deployment on version 3.0.3 of the Xen hypervisor, speeding the creation of virtual environments for application development, testing, and deployment.
rPath, which was launched in January by a number of former Red Hat Inc executives, has also made a number of the most popular projects created using rBuilder available for use with Cen, including the LAMP and SugarCRM appliances.
