Royalblue Group Plc, the Woking, UK-based company has bought Utopia Technology Partners Inc for an undisclosed sum in a major expansion of its helpdesk operation in the US. WhileRroyalblue says it will incorporate ‘key elements’ of Utopia’s software into its HelpDesk for Windows product, it is currently working on a way for Utopia’s customers to move onto its own software. The transaction is expected to close before the end of June. Royalblue, a supplier of financial, help desk and CTI software, recorded a 76.8% growth in revenue to 20.6m pounds in the year to December 31. The group’s Helpdesk software division increased revenues by 65% to 6.8m pounds and signed a deal with Intel Corp to integrate Helpdesk within Intel’s LANDesk suite (CI No 3,349).
