ROYAL DIGITAL SYSTEMS SELLING CAD/CAE WARES ON END-USER MARKET

By CBR Staff Writer

After eight years in the OEM business, Royal Digital Systems Inc, of Palo Alto, has just started hawking its CAD/CAE wares on the end-user market: the company’s AutoMate database management system, as well as its autorouting and automatic component placement software, have been sold through GE Calma, Control Data Corp and Marconi CAE Systems over the past few years; Royal Digital will be targeting component designers in its first big push, boasting that AutoMate runs on ATs, workstations, and larger machines.
