Rodime Plc has lighted on Conner Peripherals Inc, Fremont, where Compaq is a shareholder, as the second target after MiniScribe in its campaign to assert ownership over the entire concept of the 3.5 Winchester disk drive: some 20 US marketers of 3.5 Winchesters have received letters from Rodime telling them of the company’s two patents and seeking royalty payments.
