ROCKWELL NETWORK SYSTEMS OFFERS FDDI VMEBUS ADAPTORS

The Santa Barbara, California-based Rockwell Network Systems unit of Rockwell International Inc, has announced the 1250 Series of FDDI VMEbus adaptors. The 1250 Series is said to support asynchronous and synchronous FDDI operations, and is available with an optional Content Addressable Memory for fast network address detection. The initial release includes both Single Attach Station and Dual Attach Station configurations for fibre and unshielded twisted pair media, says the company. The fibre-based adaptors will ship in May, listing at $4,195 for Single Attach and $4,675 for Dual Attach; the unshielded twisted pair adaptors will ship in June, priced at $3,000 and $3,900 respectively. All hardware prices include a binary software licence.
