RM Group, a UK-based provider of education software and services, has won a three-year extension to its managed ICT services contract from South Lanarkshire Council.
RM was originally awarded a seven-year contract in 2003 to deliver a fully managed ICT service to the council’s education and library establishments. With this extension, which is expected to be worth GBP15 million, the contract will now run until September 2013.
Terry Sweeney, CEO of RM, said: Over the last six years we’ve worked hard to deliver an effective ICT service that makes a real contribution to learning and teaching in South Lanarkshire. It is very good news — and a reflection of the effort of all the people involved — that the Council has chosen to work with us for a further three years.
Lindsay Greenock, business systems manager at South Lanarkshire Council, said: When we chose RM to deliver managed ICT services for our schools in 2003, we were breaking new ground. Since then, the relationship has worked well and we view RM as an important partner; I am pleased to be working with them for another three years.
