Rise Technology Co, the Santa Clara, California-based fabless chip company, is now offering production quantities of its mP6 family of processors and has appointed UK-based VML as a distributer as it starts to roll out its products in Europe. Rise is still tight-lipped on the identity of its fab partner but is anxious to take on Cyrix and IDT in what it terms the ‘basic’ PC market.
