Rimage, a provider of on-demand digital publishing systems, has released Producer Software Suite v8.2, which is designed for use with Rimage Producer and Professional series systems. The company claims the new version to enhance customer workflow while saving time.
According to Rimage, the new v8.2 version includes a new WebQD interface, content encryption for CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs, a direct link to the company’s KnowledgeBase, and Windows WatchFolders. In addition, Producer Software Suite is compatible with Windows Vista users.
Rimage said that the WebQD application allows users to create disc publishing jobs from anywhere on the network without having to install a client application. Users can enter the address of the Rimage system into web browser to enable disc burning and printing capabilities from anywhere on their network.
The v8.2 suite also includes: DDP 2.0 and 2.1 support; Zip/Compress files with 256-bit AES password encryption; and enhanced pdf label file support in QuickDisc.
WatchFolders are now available for both Macintosh and Windows platforms. It enables users to burn and print jobs without the need for any programming. The KnowledgeBase provides answers to end user questions and is now incorporated into all Rimage client application help menus, the company said.
