RICOH’S IMAGIO DIGITAL PHOTOCOPIER CONNECTS TO PC’S

By CBR Staff Writer

Ricoh Co is positioning its Imagio digital photocopier as an output device for the most popular range of personal computers in Japan, the NEC Corp PC-9800 series: putting an Imagio Emulation Card Type PC board into the copier, the device will act as a printer, thus giving new life to an already popular model; the repositioning is part of a Better Presentation campaign targeted particularly at users that are about to renew their copier leases; 350 special sales staff are looking for sales of 3,000 Imagio copiers per month.
