RICOH HAS NEW OPTICAL FILING SYSTEM

Ricoh Co has a new optical filing system, the IF2500, which is designed for use with the IBM Personal AT: the $47,150 unit consists of Image Processing Unit, 5.25 optical disk drive with capacity of 12,000 A4 pages per disk, laser printer, image scanner, 19 display and mouse; Ricoh will market the thing through its copier division for both sales and maintenance, starting this month, and hopes to sell 200 to 300 a year; it also sees good prospects for the new product in Europe.
