Ricoh Co has signed a five-year agreement with Advanced Silicon of Holland for the contract design of custom circuits: the agreement covers 2 micron CMOS parts with 1.2 micron design rules to follow, and the parts will be used in consumer electronic products; the Dutch company will design on the basis of design and production information from Japan, and then send a tape containing the designs to Ricoh, which will manufacture the parts.
