RICHARD NIXON MEETS THE PRESS

By CBR Staff Writer

Given former President Richard Nixon’s inability to use the erase button effectively on his tape recorder – or to even delete his own expletives – any comment he makes relating to high tech has to be suspect, but in his Meet The Press interview on NBC television, he declared that Jackson is a poet; Cuomo (does Nixon know something the rest of us don’t about the New York state governor’s presidential plans?) is a poet; Dukakis is a word processor: s’pose it makes sense since Michael Dukakis is governor of Massachusetts and with all that close proximity to the likes of Wang Laboratories, DEC and Data General, something must rub off.
