Rhomobile, a provider of open source framework for enterprise mobility, has launched RhoSync 2.1, a smartphone App Integration Server.

The company said RhoSync 2.1 simplifies building connectivity to backend enterprise applications and keeps application data current and accessible on users’ smartphones even when offline.

RhoSync 2.1 featuring source adapters for SalesForce gives developers the ability to view statistics in their RhoSync application via the upgraded RhoSync Management Console.

The new source adapters support for new SalesForce features such as their REST API and their new Chatter API. RhoSync also now offers both users by user sync partitions and app-wide sync partitions that all users share.

Developers and IT administrators will now be able to view key performance and management information such as user and device count as well as HTTP request/response time and backend application response timing.

Now the developers will also be able to view statistics in their RhoSync Management Console as a visual graph. RhoSync enables enterprises to create applications for their mobile workforce that are fully integrated with existing enterprise applications.

Rhomobile CEO Adam Blum said with the new source adapters, developers do not have to write new code to connect to enterprise backends, resulting in a tremendous saving in development time and costs.
