RF Code adds WiFi support to RFID readers

RF Code Inc said it had added 802.11 b/g asset tracking to its RFID readers using a wireless device server from Lantronix, aimed at enterprise customers.

By CBR Staff Writer

Lantronix’s WiBox wireless device server, from Lantronix, can now be used as an add-on to RF Code’s 303 MHz and 433 MHz active RFID readers to enable the backhauling of asset data over existing corporate IT networks.

It is ideal for asset tracking software applications and security system installations, where running network cable is not feasible or cost-effective, said Ozer, CTO of Mesa, Arizona-based RF Code, in a statement.
