Swindon-based computer maintenance and services group Kode International Plc has acquired some assets of Doplar Designs Ltd for an undisclosed sum from the administrative receivers, Touche Ross & Co. The company says that Doplar’s activities in the design of printed circuit boards and manufacture of prototypes will complement the operations of Kode’s subsidiary, Kam Circuits Ltd – which is the vehicle for this latest acquisition – and Kam Printronics Circuits, a joint venture with Printronics Ltd in mainland China. Sixteen staff are to be retained at Doplar, which is now split into two the divisions of Kam Design and Kam Circuits Express.
