AMD reported net income of $43m, compared to a $31m loss, for the three months to December 28, on revenue that surged 76% to $1.2bn. Earnings per diluted share came in at $0.12, up from a $0.09 loss.
For the year, AMD reported a $274m net loss, compared to a loss of $1.3bn, with revenue jumping 30% to $3.5bn. Earnings per diluted share was a loss-making $0.79, compared to a $3.81 loss.
AMD said it experienced record sales in China and Latin America for the fourth quarter and strong demand for the AMD Athlon XP desktop processor line.
