An interesting little play-off looks to be boiling up in transatlantic fibre optic telecommunications: Reuters Holdings Plc is reportedly talking about buying additional leased capacity across the Atlantic to both Cable & Wireless Plc with the forthcoming PTAT-1 cable and with British Telecom and AT&T with the TAT-8 optical cable.
