REUTERS ACQUIRES SECURITIES CLEARING INTERNATIONAL CORP

Reuters Holdings Plc has acquired privately-held Securities Clearing International Corp of Toronto for $Can1.47m and an equal sum to cover its obligations in respect of development costs: the company owns Instant-Link, a system that enables all parties to a deal in shares or bonds to monitor the transaction.
