Santa Monica, California-based Retix Inc has Version 2.0 of its remote bridge software featuring network triangulation and adaptive routing: it operates with Retix 4820 and 4880 remote LAN bridges and builds on the industry standard Spanning Tree Algorithm and Protocol to enable the use of the Spanning Tree links as well as the ability to construct more complex topologies with fewer bridges; prices for Retix 4800 series bridges start at $4,950 – all new 4820 and 4880 bridges will be delivered with the new software, and upgrades are available for existing ones.
