RETAILERS GET HIGH-TECH TO STOP THEFT

Retailers are apparently stepping up their technological capabilities to prevent stock disappearing, and shoplifters are not the only targets. The Financial Times reports that ICL Plc’s Retail Systems division calculates that 60% of UK retail losses are due to staff and says its theft prevention PC-based LossPrevention software is being widely adopted in the US and working well.
