The AS/400 PC Support program is enhanced in Release 2 to operate with OS/2 Extended Edition Version 1.2. The program provides a link between two of the participants in Systems Application Architecture – OS/400 and OS/2 EE and provides similar function to OS/2 andMS-DOS-based systems – the latter asynchronously. MS-DOS-based users get choices to improve the performance of the shared folders function and to remove unneeded Personal Computer functions from memory. A Window Function is provided to MS-DOS to view multiple display and printer sessions concurrently. Each session window can be dynamically sized, maximised and moved with either a mouse or keyboard. It costs $1,310 on a B10 to $13,100 on a B70 and arrives October 27.
