The agreement means that NatWest’s small business customers are offered the opportunity to sign up to Redstone’s services, which offer more cost-effective telephony.

NatWest’s 1300 small business managers will be offering customers access to Redstone’s network. Products that will be available to these customers include cost effective call routing, away-from-the-office solutions such as calling cards for travelling business people, follow-me numbers, and marketing numbers, such as 0800, 0845 and 0870.

This agreement supersedes the Agreement NatWest previously held with Telefficiency, who were aquired by Redstone Communications in February 2000.

Tom Harris, head of indirect channels at Redstone said: Redstone’s core market is small businesses and we see this partnership with NatWest as a great opportunity to work with another company that understands this market well. The needs of small businesses are not the same as those of larger organisations, which is why we are working together to enable them to do business more efficiently and cost effectively.

Peter Ibbetson, head of small business at NatWest said:Our partnership with Redstone enables us to add value to our small business service by giving our customers the opportunity to save money.
