Raleigh, North Carolina-based Red Hat inked its initial deal with Tokyo, Japan-based 10 Art-ni in July 2003 for its flagship Red Hat Enterprise Linux product. It has now been expanded to include Red Hat Application Server and sees 10 Art-ni providing support and professional services for the open source Java application server.

The two companies will also work together to co-market the use of open source applications in conjunction with the Linux operating system in Japan. 10 Art-ni provides consulting, pre-development research, analysis, and system design services based on Linux and Java and in August made its debut on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
