RECORDABLE CD AFFORDABLE

By CBR Staff Writer

Pinnacle Micro Inc has made recordable CD more affordable with the RCD-1000. An internal personal computer version will retail for $1,300 and a Macintosh version for $1,500. Street prices are expected around $1,100 to $1,200. Prices include mastering software and the industry’s first CD-R back-up utility, as well as two blank compact discs. Pinnacle offers a multimedia option with a custom OEM version of Astarte Fiber Network Inc’s Toast software for an extra $100.
