In what the company describes as changes that go some way to tidying up the previous group structure, Enterprise Computer Holdings Plc reports that its Enterprise Digital Ltd, Enterprise Computer Services SARL and Chase International Computer Services Ltd are all being wound up. In the chairman’s statement accompanying the interim results, the company reported that Enterprise Digital had ceased trading, and on January 19, a winding-up order was made, and on January 29 joint administrative receivers were appointed to the subsidiary by Barclays Bank Plc and a copy of the winding-up order was served on the company on Monday. Its debts are reported to have been substantial and to have been created by unsound trading in the Digital Equipment Corp marketplace. On December 22, Enterprise started the procedure in France to appoint an administrative receiver in respect of Enterprise Computer Services SARL, which was also principally involved in selling DEC equipment, and made substantial losses in 1992. And on January 28, Enterprise applied to Barclays to appoint an administrative receiver in respect of Chase International Computer Services Ltd and its subsidiaries. Chase was bought by Enterprise Computer in 1989 and it ceased trading as long ago as July 1990, several months later, after making substantial losses.
