Rebus Software, the UK-based personnel systems subsidiary of Rebus Group Plc, which was known as Peterborough Software until Rebus split from its parent C E Heath Plc, has set up a Professional Services Division to support its PS family of applications. The new division includes a set of managed service practices around the PS Enterprise, Open Door, PS Financials and PS Pensions applications. Rebus has also begun forging relationships with systems integrators, such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Rebus says its PS Enterprise software includes functions like Skill Gap Analysis, Salary Modeling and Recruitment and Selection tools. PS Enterprise has a three-tier client/server architecture with an Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) tier which enables controlled and secure access to the database from different sources, according to the company. At the back end it is database-independent by virtue of the fact that it supports Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC). The company has both payroll and HR for many countries, but the US payroll is still under development.
