REALISTIC TARGET FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTIVITY

There is a growing belief that the realistic target for high temperature superconductivity in the near term is the minus 180`C or so that has been widely repeated with Copper Oxide ceramics, and requires comparatively cheap liquid nitrogen for cooling: according to the Wall Street Journal, many scientists now believe that claims for superconductivity at near room temperature have been on the basis of false observations and experimental errors.
