Watford, Hertfordshire-based Real Time Control Plc has reported a pre-tax profit of UKP1.192m against last year’s UKP1.199m together with a slight decrease in turnover which fell to UKP6.8m from UKP7.6m. Net profits saw a small increase to UKP777,000 from UKP760,000. The group, which staged a fairly dramatic return to profit last year (CI No 1,712), has begun to market its software in continental Europe, which it considers an area of great potential. Conversely it has reduced its operations in the US where the recessionary effects have been severe. The company’s cash reserves produced an interest income for the year of UKP412,000. In face of the depressed retail market, the firm is pleased with its volume of sales, although it maintaining at prudently cautious stance on its immediate outlook.
