RasterOps Corp of Santa Clara, California claims to be the first peripheral manufacturer to offer a full range of monitors for the Apple Macintosh Quadra 840AV and Centris 640AV, with the Sweet 16AV. It has a 16 colour display and increased viewing area, while saving desktop space. The monitor’s high-refresh rates renders the screen flicker-free. Out next week, it will cost about $1,150 and adds to the other RasterOps products available. The RasterOps ClearVue/15 Portrait is compatible with the firm’s ClearVue/GSXL and ClearVue/XL display adaptors and other third-party display adaptors. The 20/T Multiscan Display is compatible with the AV Macintosh computers’ on-board video capabilities via the Colour Monitor Cable Kit. The 20/20 Multimode Colour Display provides a full feature, two-page colour display solution and uses the on-board video capabilities of the Quadra 840AV and Centris 640Av. It supports a wide range of scanning frequencies up to 1,152 by 870 pixels. It works with a variety of display adaptors including its new PaintBoard Turbo XL, PaintBoard Turbo 24XLi and the new PaintBoard 8Li, the company says.
