Ramp and Workers Comp Rx execute reseller agreement

New York City-based Ramp has signed an agreement with Workers Comp Rx, a pharmacy service for injured workers, to market CarePoint, a platform that allows physicians to place orders for drugs and refill prescriptions while interfacing to a practice management system from a wireless handheld PDA or desktop internet web browser.

Implementing CarePoint would allow the 10,000 physicians and their staff that use Workers Comp Rx to increase the time they can spend on patient care by greatly alleviating the administrative burden placed on them, stated Patti Kelly, vice president of sales and marketing at Workers Comp Rx.

CarePoint’s planned future functionality is very exciting, as it will quickly evolve into a comprehensive, fully-integrated, clinical and administrative tool, she added.

According to Ramp, the CarePoint system enables electronic prescribing, internet-based communication, data integration and transaction processing over a handheld device or browser, at the point-of-care.
