Radvision, Microsoft partner on UC offering

Offered through joint marketing and sales initiatives

By CBR Staff Writer

Radvision, a provider of offerings to unified visual communications, has entered into a new agreement with Microsoft to deliver advanced integration to Microsoft’s unified communication (UC) offerings.

Under the terms of the agreement, Radvision will develop a combination of hardware and software offerings integrated with Microsoft Lync, which will be offered through joint marketing and sales initiatives.

Radvision will also provide advanced connectivity between Microsoft unified communication platform and standards-based video conferencing offerings extending video capabilities throughout the enterprise.

In addition, both companies have agreed to invest resources and have stakes in development, sales and marketing of the joint offering.

Microsoft’s Warren Barkley said, the company and Radvision are bringing customers an interoperable UC solution that allows users to merge their choice of HD video conferencing and telepresence systems with the simplicity of UC at the desktop.

"With the Microsoft and Radvision solutions, customers can have confidence that their existing and new investments in video communications will interoperate within the UC environment," Barkley said.
