By CBR Staff Writer

Radstone Technolgy Plc, the management buyout of Plessey Microsystems, has won a UKP6m contract from Marconi Command and Control Systems for the supply of computer memory units to go in the new multiple launch rocket system which will be delivered to NATO forces in Europe via the system’s European Production Group: the bubble storage memory unit, custom designed by Radstone, uses Hitachi 4Mb PFC magnetic bubble devices that have been tested and screened to Mil-Std-883 Level B equivalent specifications; the units are being manufactured entirely at the company’s production facility in Towcester, Northamptonshire, and the first batch went to Marconi in November.
