Radix have won the race to land the coveted .TECH Top Level Domain (TLD) extension. With a winning bid of $6.7 million at the auction held by ICANN, Radix beat competiors such as Google for the rights to operate the TLD extension.
Radix now adds .TECH to its growing TLD extension portfolio, which now includes viz. .website, .space, .press and .host.

.TECH was part of the launch of new domain extensions by ICANN to address the depleting pool of names in domain extensions like .com, .net .org and .in. Launching .TECH, Radix will enable tech companies worldwide to get premium desired domain names ending in the .TECH extension. Start-ups will now have the opportunity to create an industry specific domain, aimed at the international market.
‘A .TECH domain name can help establish strong brand credibility for these startups which often aim at an international market," added Bhavin.
Slated for a Q1 2015 launch, .TECH domain names will be made available through all major domain name retailers world-wide.
