Radius Plc, Hull warns that while when it reported figures for the half-year to May 31, it had anticipated that performance would show an improvement in the second half, it now believes that, due to a particularly bad third quarter, the results at an operating level for the second half of the year will show losses broadly similar to those incurred in the first half; it has taken further steps to reduce operating costs, but these actions have led to additional re-organisation costs being incurred in the second half of the year; the rate of transition to open systems in the general commercial business has been slower than expected, as customers in those markets continue to be reluctant to commit to capital expenditure in the current economic climate; the mainframe sector remains depressed in both the general and public sectors.
