Radius Inc, Sunnyvale, has formally launched its second Mac OS machine, the Radius 81/110. which is claimed to offer all of power and performance of a Power Macintosh 8100 at a lower cost, and in contrast to the original Radius 100, which was specifically configured for intensive publishers, this one offers the flexibility for resellers and buyers to custom-configure it. It can be fitted with Radius Thunder and PrecisionColor graphics boards, VideoVision and Telecast professional-level video boards, PrecisionView, PressView or MultiView multiple resolution displays, Radius Edit digital video editing software and it comes standard with 16Mb 110MHz PowerPC 601 processor, 2Gb disk, Ethernet, quad speed CD-ROM drive, three NuBus slots and eWorld access software. It will be out next month with an estimated street price of $4,800.
