Adds P8400 and T3100 Intel Core 2 Duo processors

By CBR Staff Writer

RadiSys, a provider of application-ready software and hardware platforms, has unveiled the extension of its processor offering on the Procelerant CEGM45 COM Express module, with the addition of the P8400 and T3100 Intel Core 2 Duo processors.

The company said that the extended Procelerant CEGM45 product range is suitable for compute-intensive and graphics-rich applications such as medical imaging, industrial automation and control, gaming and infotainment, as well as rugged mil/aero applications. It is also suitable for compute-demanding applications in communications.

According to RadiSys, the P8400 and T3100 Intel Core 2 Duo processors join the Procelerant performance standout 2.53GHz T9400 processor already offered in the basic RadiSys 95mm x 125mm Type 2 COM Express pin-out, and provide a medium and value price-performance option for high-end embedded computing applications. The CEGM45 features DDR3 memory, enhanced 3D graphics and an integrated TPM option and is available in Type 2 COM Express pin-out.

The P8400 features 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo processor / 3MB Cache / 1067MHz FSB/ 35W and the T3100 features 1.9GHz CeleronM processor / 1MB Cache / 800MHz FSB/ 35W, two 204-pin right-angle SO-DIMM sockets for DDR3-1067 and DDR3-800 memory, upto 4GB per channel, for a maximum of 8GB memory.

Lorraine Orcino, product line manager of RadiSys, said: “RadiSys continues to expand the breadth and depth of offerings in its performance COM Express product lines. The extension of the Procelerant CEGM45 processor range provides a medium and low price-performance option for high-end embedded computing applications, enabling our customers to select the highest performing processor for their application without sacrificing their price performance targets.”
