RACIAL AND SEXUAL DISCRIMINATION COMES EXPENSIVE

Sounds like a real incentive to get yourself racially and sexually discriminated against: a former General Motors data processing employee, Gail Wilson, who claimed she was fired in 1981 after missing work through pregnancy complications, has been awarded $1.25m in back pay, damages and accrued interest by a jury in Detroit; General Motors is appealing the decision.
