To few people’s surprise, Racal Electronics Plc has won shareholder approval to float 20% of its Racal Telecommunications Group Plc, the counter-proposal from Millicom Inc that it demerge the unit via a free distribution of shares being defeated at yesterday’s extraordinary general bash by 266m to 96m votes.
