Racal Network Services Ltd, the telecomunications systems integration arm of Racal Electronics Plc, has teamed up with Internet service provider Integralis Ltd, to create its very own Internet business, branded Quza. Racal has 60% and Integralis 40% of the new venture, which it said would predominantly target government and large corporate sites where the demand for a secure Internet service was high. Racal’s dedicated managed network based on a nationwide, full speed Asynchronous Transfer Mod e backbone and Integralis’s skills as an Internet consultant, designer and content provider, will effectively provide a one-stop-Internet shop, said Racal. Customers will either choose for a menu of about 40 different Internet services on offer, or simply turn the whole thing over to Quza to manage. The system is currently undergoing trials at beta sites, with a target launch date set for September.
