The Racal Electronics Plc board has formally approved the proposed flotation of Racal Telecommunications, which is likely to take place between July and October: jewel in the new firm’s crown will of course be the Vodafone cellular telephone business, still adding subscribers at a rate of over 2,000 a week, and is now claiming more than 165,000.
