R-Style has become the first Russian computer assembly firm to decide to pre-install IBM OS/2 Warp on its personal computers. In an OEM agreement signed in November, R-Style agreed to pre-install IBM Corp’s operating system on no less than 95% of all of its output. R-Style, however, is taking no chances when it bets on which operating systems Russian customers will choose in the future. Every one of its computers will now come bundled with MS-DOS 6.22, OS/2 Warp and Windows 3.11. And if a customer prefers, Windows 3.11 can be substituted by Windows95. Moscow-based R-Style is one of Russia’s oldest and largest computer assembly companies with dealers across the former Soviet Union.
