The Santa Clara, California-based QuickLogic Corp, formerly Peer Research Inc, has an agreement with VLSI Technology Inc in which the companies will develop and manufacture CMOS user-programmable ASIC devices based on high-speed ASIC technology; the resultant product family of field programmable gate arrays will offer the speed and power features of masked gate arrays, and will be introduced by QuickLogic later in 1991; under the agreement, VLSI will manufacture products for QuickLogic using process technology developed jointly.
