QUEST, PARROT REVEAL UKP4m DEAL FOR USSR FLOPPY PLANT

Quest Group Plc’s patient efforts to win computer business in the Soviet Union has paid off in an unexpected direction with a UKP4m agreement for floppy disk media manufacturer Parrot Corp Ltd to transfer its technology to a Soviet floppy disk plant nearing completion near Kiev. The factory is being designed to produce 6m disks annually and is set to begin operations this month. Quest Group supplied all the equipment, and Parrot the test facilities and training support.
