Quest Software has said its migration and coexistence offerings support Microsoft Office 365, which recently was released to public beta.
The offerings are designed to minimise impact on IT operations and end-user productivity with simple and secure Office 365 migration from Lotus Notes, GroupWise, Google Gmail, and on-premises Exchange, Quest Software said.
The offerings are expected to enable organisations perform pre-migration assessments of on-premises Exchange, SharePoint and Lotus Notes environments to better plan their target environment.
Quest migration offerings automate and accelerate the transition of mailboxes and applications, minimising risk and potential impact to end users, enabling organizations to further reduce time and effort.
Quest said its offering maintain coexistence between platforms with tools which synchronise directories, provide free/busy lookups and ensure proper calendar scheduling between Exchange Online and Lotus Notes email systems.
Quest Software vice president and general manager of SharePoint and Notes Transition Bill Evans said companies today are adopting different migration strategies, which underscore the growing need to migrate and manage online, on-premises and hybrid environments.
"Quest is well positioned to meet evolving migration requirements, as we have a full roster of solutions for migrating mailboxes andapplications from any legacy platform to any new platform, including Microsoft Office 365," Evans said.
