IT management, Systems management services provider Quest Software has acquired field and professional service management services provider BlueFolder.
The acquisition will enable Quest to offer an end-to-end managed service provider (MSP) business management service that will provide a remote monitoring and management (RMM) functionality in combination with a professional services automation (PSA) system.
The acquisition also represents an expansion of the functionality and value of PacketTrap MSP, which delivers remote server, application and network management for MSPs and IT service providers to use across customer environments.
Integrating BlueFolder PSA functionality, the hybrid MSP business management service will combine the core functionalities of the two types of technology platforms MSPs need to deliver services and support to customers.
Quest Software MSP Network Management Division director Mike Byrne said by integrating PacketTrap MSP with BlueFolder’s service, Quest will deliver managed service providers a platform that they can leverage to enhance their service level offerings while improving customer satisfaction.
