Quatrotec has said that it will replace the inbound baggage conveyor system, which carries passenger baggage from aircraft to the airport’s east and west baggage claim areas.
The project involves replacing six inbound baggage conveyors and converting the existing stainless steel enclosed conveyor system on the east and west terminal connector bridges to a glass-panel enclosed system.
The glass panels will permit passengers a view of the baggage as it travels across the connector bridges to the claim areas.
Matt Connolly, vice president of business development at Quatrotec, said: We were able to win this competitively bid project because it aligns well with our capabilities, and look forward to working with the Tulsa Airport Authority and their project team. We have developed a project plan that will mitigate operational disruptions and meet the airport’s schedule.
Quatrotec develops Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) products and industry-specific software applications for the transportation sector. It provides other services like baggage handling systems, explosive detection screening, and project and construction management.
