QUARTERDECK RELEASES IWARE FOR NETWARE INTERNET INTEGRATION

Following a set of disastrous first quarter results (CI No 3092), Marina Del Rey, California-based Quarterdeck Corp has started shipping the latest version of its Internet access application. IWare Connect 3.0 for Novell Inc NetWare networks enables users to connect to the Internet or intranets, with the network connecting to a single Internet Protocol address. Supporting Windows 95, Windows NT and the Macintosh the new 32-bit product includes enhanced security, administrative controls and user interface. Quarterdeck launched the last version of IWare at the beginning of last year, and version 3.0 has been released initially in the US, a European launch is expected in the next month. Quarterdeck announced first quarter profits down 99.3% to $20,000 and a 45.4% plummet in revenue to $24.8m.
