With record revenues of $116 million in the quarter, storage solutions revenue increased 41 percent on a year-over-year basis. The growth of Quantum’s Enterprise Solutions and Snap Appliances businesses continued to be driven by the growth in networked storage for both the enterprise and workgroup markets.
For the DLTtape business, combined revenues from drives, media and media royalty in fiscal Q3 were $275 million. DLTtape media revenue continued to contribute to overall DSS profitability and to the $69 million in cash from operations generated by the business during the quarter. The Super DLTtape program continued to gain momentum in fiscal Q3 with shipments of backward read compatible drives, and the company expects its customers to begin shipping their products with Super DLTtape drives in the March quarter.
